KAMPALA, Uganda, November 2026 — Marasa Africa, one of East Africa’s leading safari lodge operators, and Wild Coffee, the award-winning Ugandan coffee company, today announced a joint partnership. Under it, Wild Coffee becomes the coffee supplier to all Marasa Africa lodges in Uganda.
Guests will be served Wild Coffee in the lodge restaurants and bars. They can also buy it in the lodge curio shops to take home or give as a gift to loved ones. The partnership brings together two Ugandan brands with a shared purpose: showing the world the very best of the Pearl of Africa.

Two Ugandan success stories
Marasa Africa is a subsidiary of the Madhvani Group. For over four generations it has hosted travellers at some of East Africa’s best-known safari lodges. In Uganda its portfolio includes Paraa Safari Lodge and Chobe Safari Lodge in Murchison Falls National Park, Mweya Safari Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Silverback Lodge at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Earlier this year, the Uganda Wildlife Authority renewed Marasa’s concessions for Paraa, Mweya and Chobe for a further 30 years.
Wild Coffee was founded in Kampala in 2017 by Endre Vestvik, who grew up on a small farm in Norway. Wild buys coffee directly from Ugandan farmers and carries out all processing, roasting, packaging and marketing in Uganda. This keeps the value of the coffee where it is grown, and lets Wild pay farmers well above the market price. Wild’s coffee won the African
Excellence Award in 2024 and is shipped directly to customers in Europe and beyond.
A shared ambition
“Our guests come to Uganda to experience something authentic, and there is nothing more authentically Ugandan than our coffee,” said Mike Rourke, Director of Tourism, Marasa Africa. “Wild shares our belief in quality, in our communities and in telling Uganda’s story to the world. We are delighted that every cup in our lodges, and every bag our guests carry home, will be part of that story.”
“Uganda is one of the world’s great coffee origins, and Marasa’s lodges are among the country’s most iconic places to visit,” said E n d r e V e s t v i k, CEO and Founder, Wild Coffee. “Bringing the two together means visitors from all over the world can taste the best of Uganda where it grows, and take it home with them. Every bag sold supports the farmers who grow it, because all of the value is created here in Uganda.”
Both companies are excited about the partnership. Together they hope it will raise the international profile of both brands, and of Uganda as a destination for world-class hospitality and world-class coffee.
